Course Description: Michelle Torrez is well known for her expressionist figurative paintings and urban scenes. She graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art and has experience in advertising and as a muralist. She has won a number of awards and been chosen to participate in numerous regional, national and international exhibitions. In addition, Michelle has been the subject of numerous magazine articles. She is represented by major galleries nationwide.
Michelle will teach and demonstrate each day in the ArtWORK West Los Cordovas studio, making extensive use of models. She will utilize exercises which will facilitate students in taking a fresh approach to expressing themselves, thus creating vivid paintings which communicate both beauty and emotion.
